What's Your Favourite: Chocolate, Vanilla or Toasted Coconut?

If chocolate, vanilla and coconut cupcakes were in a contest for the best or most favourite flavour, who would win? Which one is your favourite?

I made these wedding testers for a friend (in order from front to back):

1 - Toasted coconut cupcakes with coconut buttercream
2 - Chocolate cupcake with vanilla buttercream
3 - Vanilla angel food cake with vanilla buttercream

Pick your favourite and leave a comment on my blog!  If your favourite flavour isn't here leave a comment anyway and let me know what it is :)

  2. Looking at your great cupcakes, I know that me and all your devoted readers are facing a really tough choice. Because all three pieces of beauty look so wonderful that I almost smell their rich and intense aroma!

Should I pick only one, I would say ‘YES’ to the coconut cupcakes with coconut buttercream. The reason: I am crazy about coconut aroma and all kind of sweets including coconut in their ingredients.

If this is an evening wedding (or the cupcakes are going to be served in the evening) I would go for the chocolate cupcake with vanilla buttercream.
I just link certain things with the personality of the people, the wedding style and design, and, as you see, even with the daytime. Excuse me if not helping much :)

No matter what your final choice is, I know that your cupcakes would certainly become the celebrities among all delicious things on the wedding table.

And your friends are lucky having a friend like you... that is as sweet as your fabulous creations.

  3. Chocolate is my best seller by far but my favorite flavour cuppie is caramel or maybe red velvet. My best sellers for weddings are chocolate, vanilla and red velvet in that order.

    Your cupcakes look delicious x

  4. I'd lean towards the chocolate one here (I'm not a big fan of coconut), but my favorite cupcake flavor ever was one I got at a local bakery with spice cake, vanilla buttercream, and a little pool of salted butter caramel on top. All of these look delicious and very pretty, though, so if I were the bride I'd spring for all three :D

  5. Thank you so much for the comments and compliments! V. you're very sweet :)

    Love the feedback!

mmm I do like spice cake as well SteelCity!

For this wedding I am actually making all three of the flavours above ... the bride loves angel food cake, the groom loves coconut and the chocolate is for the masses :)

One of my most favourite cupcake flavours to date will be posted on Friday - stay tuned ;)

  6. Oooh, without trying them i'd have to say the Chocolate would be my favourite.

I do have a favourite cupcake flavour.. It's "Dutch Apple - Everything you love in a coffee cake-in a cupcake! Moist not-too-sweet vanilla cake, chunks of apples, smothered with a sour cream frosting and topped with crunchy cinnamon crumbles".....it was unreal actually! I wanted to share this link with you because this lady has a booth for her cupcakes at the Cambridge Farmers Market. She also supplies the Coffee Guy (Roy's Roasts) with muffins. She's now incorporated Gluten free cupcakes and muffins. Anyhow, here's the link!

  7. Thanks Krista!

Wow, they have a lot of flavours!!

  8. oooh such a hard choice i think i would have to go for the plain vanilla hehe :)
